Keep Columbus
Beautiful (KCB) is part of the City of Columbus, Public Service Department,
Division of Refuse Collection. KCB provides education and encouragement
about fighting litter; recycling; and preventing and removing graffiti. KCB promotes and coordinates
litter cleanups and beautification projects.
History: Keep Columbus Beautiful was established in 1983 as
Columbus Clean Community to implement a comprehensive litter prevention,
voluntary recycling and beautification program. In 1996, the City of
Columbus changed the name to Keep Columbus Beautiful.
Keep Columbus Beautiful is a local Keep Ohio
Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful affiliate. With more than 500 affiliates,
Keep America Beautiful, Inc., is a national, non-profit public education
organization dedicated to empowering local people to take
responsibility for enhancing their community environment since 1953.
